The face-to-face meeting of EMC experts at “Leonhardts”, 
SWR television tower in Stuttgart 

A day full of information and networking, despite the snowfall and challenging road conditions.

On 01.12.2023 the 5th EMV Expert Forum took place in the impressive ambience of the Leonhardts event location in the SWR television tower in Stuttgart. The snowy day created a pre-Christmas atmosphere that made the Expert Forum an unforgettable experience.

The face-to-face meeting of EMC experts, organized by Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co. KG. and Baudisch Electronic GmbH, began with an exciting series of lectures presented by top-class experts from Würth Elektronik eiSos. Tobias Maurer opened the series with an in-depth insight into the basics of potting passive components. The focus was on the mechanical stressing of components while adhering to and changing technical specifications. The knowledge gained is now to be integrated into the Würth Elektronik eiSos product catalog.

Adrian Stirn set the technical highlight with his presentation on the Gigabit Power-over-Ethernet interface from an EMC perspective. In a world that is increasingly dependent on high-speed data connections, Adrian highlighted the challenges and solutions for interference-free transmission of gigabit data via Power-over-Ethernet, with a focus on compliance with EMC standards.

The third presentation by speaker Susanna Engel-Rodrigues was entitled “The symphony of oscillators: successfully harmonizing signals”. In this presentation, Susanna explained how the correct installation of oscillators, fitted with recommended components, can increase the interference immunity of the product and reduce emissions.

All in all, the personal EMC expert forum in the Leonhardts | SWR television tower in Stuttgart was not only a platform for professional exchange, but also an experience that enriched the EMC experts with new insights, inspiring impulses and valuable contacts. Many thanks to all participants.

We are already looking forward to the next face-to-face meeting, which will take place on June 28, 2024 at ZIEHL-ABBEG SE in Künzelsau. It will certainly be another highlight in the EMC Expert Forum calendar.
