Successful modernization of THT production

Due to continuous growth, we reached our capacity limits in THT production in 2020. In order to continue to respond to customer requirements with high flexibility and to be able to manufacture with short throughput times, the existing plant had to be supplemented. Various solutions were initially considered for the reorganization of THT production: a larger system, another selective soldering system, or a wave soldering system.

The requirements for the new system included a high degree of automation, an efficient manufacturing process, and the ability to respond flexibly to time-critical orders and short-term customer change requests.

Including these criteria, a wave soldering system turned out to be the best and most customer-friendly solution. In cooperation with SEHO, an innovative wave soldering system with four integrated workstations and a central feed conveyor to the soldering system was designed and implemented. The system enables us to manufacture with the highest quality, traceability of all process steps and an even more customer-oriented range of services.
